There is quite an atmosphere on NYE, we were there last NYE but I was unwell so missed all the fun! Depends what you are looking for. Lots of beach parties and pubs on Gili T. You can travel by boat from Lembongan to gili T. A quick search on google brings up bluewater express and scoot as well as Lembongan express and a few others.
My partner and I are trying to work out the best way to get from Nusa Lembongan to the Gili Islands in mid-August. We'd planned to head to Nusa L from Sanur, stay a night then get the Scoot fast boat direct to Gili T from Nusa L - however, reading reviews online of horrendous experiences on this route have made us concerned.
The boat departs from Serangan and stops at Lembongan, Penida, Padang Bai, Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, Gili Air and finally arrives at Bangsal in Lombok. This is best suited for for those who would like to spend a few days in Lembongan or Penida before continuing their journey. Another option from Padang Bai Harbour is the public slow ferry.
I can't believe how uneventful this trip was (considering all the bad reviews i read prior to boarding.) Gili Air to Nusa Penida. 1:30 pm. Checking in was simple. Just showed the reservation, got a lanyard and was told to wait. The small harbour has some seats, plenty of food/drink stalls, and a horribly smelly bathroom. Book best ferry🚢 deals for Nusa Lembongan to Lombok only on 12Go. 12Go. Support; Cart ; Gili T, Gili Air and then to Bangsal. Ferry Speedboat, Sunfish Fast .
